Program Deployment
We aim to expand the international consortium to develop advanced Master's and PhD program in collaboration with universities in African countries. Focusing primarily on the Sub-Saharan region, we will monitor and analyze the progress of SDGs achievement in each country. Based on this analysis, we will redesign educational programs to contribute to the realization of SWGs in societies aligned with social needs and future potential, concentrating on the fields of healthcare, energy, and infrastructure.
Subsequently, we will pursue new educational initiatives by applying to programs such as the “International Priority Graduate Program (PGP) supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).” Concurrently, we aim to establish a human resource development model leveraging synergies between education and research by applying for international collaborative research projects like SATREPS (Science and Technology Research Partnership for Sustainable Development) programs jointly funded by JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) and JST (Japan Science and Technology Agency), and JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science) Bilateral Joint Research.
Furthermore, during the project period, while we develop connections with overseas hubs promoting study in Japan, JICA offices in African countries, and core research and education hubs like the Africa Centers of Excellence (ACE), we will secure international students, identify needs for solving societal challenges, and build sustainable cooperative frameworks.
